3. (Group Activity) Play a game of "Count to 21"
Pick two people in the class to play the "Count to 21" game manually so you get a sense of what you're trying to build towards.
Here are the rules of the game. The game starts at 0 and each player takes turns adding 1, 2 or 3 to the number. The goal is to NOT be the player who makes the number go past 21.
A single round might go like this. The number starts at 0. The first player adds two to the number so it becomes 2. The second player adds 3 to the number so it becomes 5.
Then the game keeps going until the number is greater than 21.
