Secondary movement is when you animate the details of your character that move along with the main movement. The main movement in this example is the walking, the secondary movement is the cape bobbing up and down.

1. Think of a small detail to add to your character

Ideas could be a cape, long hair, a tail, a scarf ...
2. Animate to the opposite movement
Hint: show details
That means - whenever your character is low, the detail should flip up. When your character is high, the detail should flip down.
The character is low during contact poses. The character is high during passing poses.
